During her tenure of doctoral research, she worked in several DRDO sponsored research projects. Following the award of her Ph.D. degree, she joined DRDO-BU Center for Life Sciences as a Research fellow in Environmental Management Division as a task member to identify monitoring tools for malaria epidemic in North eastern regions of India using spatial techniques. She attended a series of short-term trainings and research workshops before being appointed as a Lecturer at Bharathidasan University in June 2008. She is now an Assistant Professor (SG) and presently heading the Spatial Modeling and Environmental Geosciences division.
