Biography

With an undergraduate study in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Ph.D. in Biochemistry, his research focused on studying neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD); he wanted to center my research on neurodegenerative diseases. His primary research interests lies in studying the role of inflammation, oxidative stress as well as the involvement of mitochondrial biology in the development and progression of Parkinson's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. At Harvard Medical School, his research is focused on the role of mitochondria chaperone protein NDUFAF2 in PD models. He is also working on Parkin and trying to understand its cytoplasmic role in human IPSC's cell system.
