One can ruin a whole city, probably killing millions, and jeopardizing the natural environment and lives of future generations via its long-term catastrophic effects. The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons aims to limit the unfold of nuclear weapons, however, its effectiveness has been questioned, and political tensions remained high in the Nineteen Seventies and 1980s. Modernization of weapons continues to this day. There are two basic types of nuclear weapons: these that derive the majority of their strength from nuclear fission reactions alone, and those that use fission reactions to commence nuclear fusion reactions that produce a giant quantity of the whole strength output
