DM Reddy

DM Reddy is currently working as a Professor in Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati, India. He did his Ph.D. in Maize Genetics from IARI, New Delhi and PDF in Arabidopsis Functional Genomics from National University of Singapore, Singapore. He has ten years of experience in teaching undergraduate, postgraduate courses and 8 years research experience in pulses breeding. He guided 1 Ph.D. and 11 M.Sc. (Ag) students and associated in development of seven varieties in Pulses viz., LBG 752, LBG 709, LBG645, LBeG 7, LRG38, LRG-41 and TM-96-2 and one Cotton hybrid viz., LAHH 4. He has published more than 80 Research articles in various national and international journals of repute. He has got specialization in maize breeding, pulses breeding, pulses biotechnology and genomics. He handled one ICAR project in Cotton as Co-PI and one RKVY project in Pulses as PI. He also developed a software SPIF-4 for identification of favorable alleles and CROPCAT for germplasm maintenance.

DM Reddy's research interests include Plant Breeding, Genetics, Agriculturem Maize Genetics, Pulses Breeding, Pulses Biotechnology and Germplasm.
