Biography | ||
Jane Haines received her BSN from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and her Master of Science in Nursing Education and DNP from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Undergraduate Program. Dr. Haines has 33 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, and 26 years in Nursing Education. She is a Certified Med-Surg RN (CMSRN). She has worked as a Nurse Manager and in Staff Development. Her current area of expertise and research interest lies in the area of lung transplantation, specifically, factors that impact the stress and anxiety of those persons who are primary caregivers for lung transplant recipients. She works at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on a pulmonary step-down unit providing care to lung recipients and their caregivers who are experiencing post-transplant complications (rejection, infection, respiratory distress.)These persons come from all over the world to receive a transplant. |
