Use of larvivorous fish in mosquito manage has been properly installed especially effectiveness of fishes like Gambusia affinis, Poecilia reticulata and some indigenous fishes in one-of-a-kind mosquito breeding habitats. However, reviews on operational stage scaling up. In India, use of larvivorous fishes has emerge as an factor in vector control coverage of National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP). We used a systematic method of scaling-up of use of larvivorous fishes in Mandvi taluka, District Kutch, Gujarat in 2008-2009 chosen on foundation of excessive occurrence of malaria throughout 2007 and appropriate ecological prerequisites for use of larvivorous fishes.
