This review mainly focuses how metabolic syndrome (a cluster of complications) can be prevented by yoga.

So those asanas performed for preventing diabetes should not be performed by cardiac patients. The cardiac patients should practice simple asanas like thadasana and they should avoid practice of complicated asanas and pranayamas [95-98]. They should not practice forceful pranayamas like bastrika. Nadisodhana is the best fit pranayama for cardiac patients.
