In 1969 Alexei Novikov graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute named after SM Kirov (Sverdlovsk), specializing in the design and manufacture of electronic equipment. He worked there as a research fellow at first, and then the senior teacher. In 1981 he was the winner of the Lenin Komsomol Prize in Science and Technology. In 1986 - he defended his PhD thesis in electrical and semiconductor converters. Since 1990 he was an Associate Professor at Omsk State Technical University. From 1995 to 2009 he was a Deputy Vice-Rector for Research of the University. Since 1996 he was also member of the Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences. In 2008 he defended his doctoral thesis in 06.11.17 system, devices and medical devices. Currently he is doctor of technical sciences, professor of "Mechanical Engineering and Materials" at Omsk State Technical University.
