Biography

Professor Francis CW Chan has been appointed as research assistant professor in the School of Chinese medicine in the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2011. His main research areas are herbal medicine and natural products on orthopaedic problem. Professor Chan has published 36 papers and papers and 4 book chapters. He has secured over 4 major competitive research grants as principal investigator and 26 grants. He has served the editorial boards of two scientific journals.
 

Research Interest

Herbal medicine and natural products on orthopaedics including bone healing and cartilage degeneration using tissue engineering, stem cell therapy and physical intervention.
