Dr. John is Assistant Professor, Principal ASAB & Dean of the Atta-Ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) at National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr John has made an excellent progress in research, teaching and administration. He secured a research grant from the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan (HEC) for the year 2011-2014. He has 38 publications in journals with high impact factor and cumulative impact factor of 108.244. Dr John has supervised 17 students (BS: 08 & MS: 08 PhD: 01) and eleven students (BS: 01 MS: 05 PhD: 05) are doing research work under his supervision. He is actively involved in teaching core & optional courses including Molecular Biology, Gene Therapy & Advances in Molecular Biology at UG & PG levels.

Dr. John’s research group is interested to improve the diagnosis and management of diseases through a better understanding of the basic pathogenetic mechanisms that cause and sustain these conditions. It targets following major areas: genetic disorders, inflammatory and autoimmune disorders, oncology and environmental problems.
