Abdullah Sultan earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. He has published several articles in the field of Neuroscience and Stem cell biology. His present research at City of Hope, California, USA, involves using induced pluripotent stem cells for modeling Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. His long-term research interests are to have a comprehensive understanding of the cellular self-renewal factors in neurodegenerative diseases and the development of stem cell-based therapeutics targeting these factors.
