Hepatology Impact Factor

The journal impact feature provides a comprehensive assessment tool for measuring, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of the same type. It shows the average number of references in recent articles published in the journal of science and social science for a particular year or period, and is often used as a collateral for the equal importance of journals in its field. It is first introduced by Eugene Garfield, founder of the Institute for Science Information. The journal's impact is evaluated by dividing the number of current year estimates and source material published in that journal over the last two years. The liver is the major organ of the body and hepatology is a major field. Includes studies of acute and chronic hepatitis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, genetic and metabolic diseases and their complications, liver cancer, liver transplantation, drug metabolism and immunology as it relates to the liver. Hepatology is a branch of medicine that specializes in the study and management of diseases affecting the liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, and pancreas. The word hepatology is derived from the Greek word hepar which means liver and logia meaning study.
