 Neuroanesthesia is necessary for the neurosurgical patients with the anaesthetic management, based upon the understanding of the physiology and pathophysiology of the central nervous system (CNS) and the effect of anaesthetic agents on the CNS. Neurosurgical procedures are extremely delicate and require a collaborative effort to ensure that patients maintain good blood flow, oxygen levels, and appropriate level of consciousness.
