AN ALGEBRAIC OPERATION IN FUZZY OBJECT-ORIENTED DATABASES (FOODBS)

Abstract

In this paper, some algebraic operations are investigated based on a kind of fuzzy object-oriented database model. When extraction of data from conventional database is being performed with the algebraic operations. Such as Projection, Selection, Join, Union, Intersection, Cross/Product, Division, Difference etc. To retrieve and manipulate data / information from fuzzy object oriented database, Advancement of existing algebras and new algebras are proposed. Algebras such as Object algebra, Query algebra and Association algebra are evolved for retrieval and manipulation of complex objects with the imprecise and uncertain values, stored in fuzzy object oriented databases. We also discuss fuzzy query processing languages of the fuzzy object-oriented databases.
