 Dr. Louis Zapfack, Senior Lecturer of the Dept. of Plant Biology at the University of Yaounde 1, was part of an Ethnobotany seminar for BSc Afr. Develop. Studies with both Prof. Sigrid Liede-Schumann, Head of Dept. of Plant Systematics at the University of Bayreuth, and Dr. Ulrich Meve in Jan/Feb 2008. Ethnobotany can be defined as a study of the interactions of plants and people, including the influence of plants on culture.
