Dr Hojjati has been joined Concordia University as an Associate Professor in July 2012. Before that he was working at National Research Council Canada (NRC) for almost ten years, during which, he was responsible for working with different industrial partners to develop and implement composite manufacturing R&TD programs. he had been involved in the definition, planning and implementation of many industrial projects related to automated fibre placement. This includes fabrication of an aircraft nose fuselage section, a helicopter tail boom, and an isogrid structure.

Dr. Hojjati’s research interests are in composite material design, analysis and manufacturing. This includes process modeling, material characterization, automated fiber placement, hot drape forming, compression molding, and autoclave curing.
