Biography

Dr. Nandu Chaure is currently working as Associate Professor at Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. He obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from University of Pune and University of Bhopal in 1993 and 1999, respectively. He has 24 years research and 15 years teaching experience for post graduate courses. He worked as post doctoral research fellow and teaching fellow over 10 years in United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. He has supervised 06 Ph.D students and 07 M.Phil students in the area of research and development of thin film solar cells. Presently, eight PhD and 5 M.Phil students are doing research under his guidance in various areas. He has published over 100 original peer reviewed research articles in highly reputed journals. He is the guest editor of Journal of Materials : Materials in Electronics for the special issues on the “Materials for Photovoltaics applications” and as a member of editorial boards on several journals. He is also the potential reviewer of over 30 international specialized journals. His area of research is electrochemistry, electrochemical synthesis of metal, semiconductor, oxidies and polymer thin film, nanoparticles, Quantum dots, Nanocomposites. He also extensively works on Organic devices, organic field effect transistors, Light emitting diodes, memory devices on flexible and rigid substrates for e-paper and flexible display applications. High-k dielectrics and polymeric dielectric materials and their applications. Thin film solar cells and materials for solar cell applications, DSSC, Plasmonic, hybrid, perovskite solar cells, etc.

 

Research Interest

Synthesis and Characterization of Metal, semiconductor and oxide Quantum dots, Nanomaterials (shapes) and Nanocomposites by electrochemical, colloidal, CBD, sol gel, hydrothermal, solvothermal, sputtering etc. techniques, and their device applications. Organic devices, organic field effect transistors, Light emitting diodes, memory devices on flexible and rigid substrates for e-paper and flexible display applications. High-k dielectrics and polymeric dielectric materials and their applications. Thin film solar cells and materials for solar cell applications, DSSC, Plasmonic, hybrid, perovskite solar cells, etc.
