Dr. Mark Kindy is a biochemist/neuroscientist and Professor/Associate Dean for Research in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of South Florida and Senior Research Career Scientist at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center. He recently moved from the Department of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Biology and Neurosciences at the Medical University of South Carolina and a Senior Research Career Scientist/Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Research at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC. He received his BS from the University of Massachusetts in Zoology and PhD from Boston University School of Medicine in Biochemistry. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute. Dr. Kindy started his faculty career at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry and the Center on Aging. His area of expertise is neurodegenerative disorders, animal modeling, mechanisms associated with diseases and regeneration of the brain.

Prof. Shail K. Chaube is a Ph.D. in Zoology from BHU (1996) and post doctoral fellow from CCMB, Hyderabad (1996-97). He joined as a Research Officer in the Department of Reproductive Biomedicine, National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi (MOHFW, Govt. of India) in 1997 and served NIHFW for 10 years. He was then appointed as a Reader in the Department of Zoology, BHU, Varanasi in 2007 and became Associate Professor in the year 2010. Currently, he is Professor in the Department. He is specialized in the field of cell physiology particularly in the field of meiotic cell cycle regulation and apoptosis in female germ cells. He has authored more than 75 reviewed original research articles and 6 review articles in highly reputed international journals in the field of cell signalling during meiotic cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. He serves as an editorial board member of 6 highly-valued international journals. He has received Prof. G.P. Talwar gold medal award for Middle Career Scientist at Rajiva Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram in 2013 for his contribution in the area of cell signalling during meiotic cell cycle regulation and apoptosis in oocytes/eggs.
