Material Fault Detection Using FPGA for Nitrile Butadience Rubber Float

Abstract

The BCD converter was developed to detect the centre point from stable image in which visual plays a major rule.Initially it was implemented in MATLAB.Here have written in VHDL (VHSIC hardware description language) coding, implemented using in XILINX ISE 8.1 and tested in SPARTAN-3E FPGA kit by interfacing a test circuit with PC using RS232 cable. Area and the speed of the algorithm are also evaluated. For the following are executed.1)Image is captured by camera and store in PC,2)Both Original image and Testing image are sent to FPGA by a serial communication,3)BCD converter is done to obtain image.4)Position of image is located on FPGA. If the identity matches it will display the “matching” about the image in the 16x2 LCD, else it will display “not matching”.This project can be used in manufacture company,factories to maintain the quality product. This project helps us find the correct product within fraction of seconds.
