Biography :

Daniel Lowy is currently working as Sr. Scientist at Flexel, LLC in college Park, MD, Washington D.C., USA.He has extensive experience in most topics related to electrochemistry, including electroorganic synthesis (electroreduction of activated olefins and of carbon dioxide), electroanalytical chemistry (ion-selective electrodes for surfactants and miniaturized reference electrodes to be used in corrosive aqueous solutions, or in aqueous-organic and organic media), microbial fuel cells, sea water batteries, nanotechnologies (including galvanic cells based on phospholipid vesicles and the quantized charging of gold nanoclusters), surface modification (with self-assembled monolayers and via layer-by-layer deposition), and galvanic cells operating with aqueous electrolytes. He has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 2 science books on nano-electrochemistry, and 10 chapters in edited electrochemistry textbooks. In addition, he co-authored 7 awarded patents (five Romanian and two U.S. patents).

Biography :

Cicero Rafael Cena is Associated Professor of the Physics Institute at UFMS (Federal University of South Mato Grosso, Brazil), has graduation in Physics (2005), master's degree in Materials Science (2008), and PhD in Materials Science (2014) at UNESP, Brazil. Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Experimental Techniques and Instrumentation. Since the year of 2014, he has devoted his time to scientific research of composite materials for many applications, such as in agriculture, photocatalysis and sensors. As a researcher, he used to work with different techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) and UV-vis spectroscopy, which are employed to characterize the physical properties of the materials produced.

Biography :

Dr Han received his PhD degree from the Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. Since then, he has been working at the institute until now and was appointed as a professor in 1999. His research interests are focused on ultra-light porous metals and metallic foams, high damping alloys, high impacting energy absorption alloys and high hardness alloys and so on. He has conducted many research projects including the National Basic Research Program of China, the National Science Foundation of China, Major Direction Project of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Major National Space Program etc. His research has led to more than 100 peer-reviewed publications (journal and conference articles) and more than 20 patents. He is currently mentoring a research group with 4 research fellows and 8 PhD students.

His work has been focused on the coherent and directed design of nanostructured materials for efficient reactions, energy storage devices, and separations technologies. Dr. Patel has authored and co-authored several journal papers and conference proceedings.

Prof (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Rout: He received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry (Special Paper: Polymer Chemistry) on 1992 and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry (Thesis: Modification of Coir for Composite application) on 1996 from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India. He has started his career as a Chemist and Quality Control Chemist in industries and worked as a lecturer in Chemistry at Bhadrak Institute of Engineering and Technology (B.I.E.T.), Bhadrak, Orissa, India from 19th Jan 1998, and Became Senior Lecturer in the month Of December, 2004, then became Assistant Professor in B.I.E.T. from July 2007 to 29th February 2012. Than after he Joined as Professor in Chemistry on 2nd March 2012, and became Head In Chemistry on 14.08.12 and became Head in Basic Science and Humanities from 04.08.2016, till now at Konark Institute of Science And Technology (KIST), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has published more than twenty research papers in the field of Polymer Composites and nano composites. His research interests are Modification of Lignocellulosic Fiber, synthesis and characterisation Polymer Nano composites. Presently he is involved in different projects like “Development of Low Cost water filter” and “Green Synthesis of Colloidal Silver Nanoparticles for the treatment of Psoriasis” sponsored by Ministry of Small Medium Enterprise (MSME), “Designing and Development of Industrial Exhaust CO2 Recycling Using Computer aided Nano Technology” sponsored by (MOEF) and “Multiscale modeling and Prediction of Microstructure for processing of Alumium-Lithium alloy or Structural applications” sponsored by NALCO, India. Six students completed their M.Tech. Projects under his guidance in the field of Nano technology.
