Most of my academic activities are in the newer venues of Pediatric Dentistry; Capability to handle any situation with a flair of basic Knowledge of many subjects. Dr.Viswanath,a full-time Professor and Head of the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry at Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Bangalore. Dr.Viswanath,has been a subject invited speaker at various National/subject specialty conferences and also for Indian Dental Association and has authored more than 50 peer reviewed publications;with specific focus on pediatric medicine aspects and latest advances in science and technology as applied to dentistry. Dr.Viswanath is presently involved in newer areas of research: -Childhood obesity and its oral implications -Formulation of a newer chemo-mechanical caries removal agent -A newer irrigant for the removal of endodontic smear layer -Testing the efficacy of an indigenously prepared remineralising agent Dr.Viswanath is currently involved in finer aspects of applied principles in biotechnology and its extended applications to the field of Dentistry.
