Biography | ||
Dr. Koel Chaudhury is an Associate Professor in the School of Medical Science and Technology at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. She teaches Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Medical Imaging and Biomedical Instrumentation to medical graduates. During the early part of her career, she worked in the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi and contributed significantly towards the development of a novel non-hormonal male contraceptive RISUG, which is presently undergoing Phase III clinical trials. Some of her present research interests include oxidative stress in infertility, antioxidant nanoparticles development, live single cell imaging of gametes, nanobiotechnology, clinical proteomics and biomarkers discovery and NMR based metabolomics. She has several projects ongoing on different aspects of reproductive health funded by various sponsoring agencies of the Government of India. |
