Biography | ||
Dr. Ravindra K. Rawal is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry serving at present at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga (Punjab) in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department. He has made a significant contribution in the difficult and highly competitive area of research. He has successfully designed new compounds using 2D & 3D-QSAR and molecular modeling studies. His effort has produced high quality results as awakened from his publication record. After completion of his Ph.D. work, he has joined the group of Prof. Don J. Diamond in the virology division of Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope, USA as Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work for the development of peptide based synthetic HIV, SIV, CMV and Cancer vaccine development. In February 2009, he has joined Distinguished Prof. C.K. Chu’s Drug Discovery group in the College of Pharmacy, University of Georgia, USA as Postdoctoral Associate to work for the drug development of nucleoside analogues for Anti-viral as well as Influenza inhibitors using Molecular modeling studies. He has significant experience for solution as well as solid phase organic (Nucleoside & Non-nucleoside) and peptide synthesis, purification and characterization using modern analytical technique. He has authored more than 50 research papers mostly in the area of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, particularly in the area of Anti-viral Drug Discovery and Drug Development. He has also authored 2 books from International publications (WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA). Dr. Rawal has an excellent track record as a researcher |
