Biography

"Ashraf Darwish is Associate Professor, undergraduate and postgraduate programs coordinator of the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Egypt. He received the PhD degree in computer science from Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation in 2006. 

Dr. Darwish is an editor for some prestigious international journals and member of many computing associations such as IEEE, Egyptian Mathematical Society (EMS). He is a board member of the Russian-Egyptian Association for graduates, quality assurance and accreditation project (QAAP) and Machine Intelligence Research Lab (MIR Lab) USA."
 

Research Interest

His research interests include information security, data and web mining, intelligent computing, image processing ( in particular image retrieval, medical imaging), modeling and simulation, computational intelligence, sensor networks, theoretical foundations of computer science, cloud computing, and internet of things.
