Biography

Dr. Recep Kesli was born in Konya, Turkey. Between 1988-1994 he survived medical faculty education at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine. He had microbiolgy specialist title in 2001. Now he is working at Afyon Kocatepe University, School of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology as Chief of Department. Dr. Kesli founded and used different kinds of diagnostic tests based on molecular diagnostic principles such as Real Time-PCR, DNA Reverse-Hybridization, Microarray, Pyro-Sequencing…etc at molecular diagnositc unit of the department. Dr. Kesli attended different applied courses based on molecular diagnostic practices in medicine (Marmara Research Center , The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey-TUBITAK). Dr. Kesli published his first book about anaerobic bacteria and wrote chapters in differenet national and international books. In the latest years, Dr. Kesli focused his investigations based on molecular diagnositc test principles and diagnositc reactives of Hepatitis C virus, and Helicobacter pylori. Dr. Kesli has membershep at different national and international microbiology and clinical microbiology societies. He attended many international and national congress and symposiums (more than thirty) presented many abstracts (more than sixty) and also presented many speeches in international congresses. Dr. Kesli also published articles in international SCI/SCIE and national journals (more than fifty) in Turkish and English and has been cited (more than one hundred and fifty) articles published in national and international journals. Dr Kesli has duties as editor in-chief, associate editor and editorial board member of different international and national journals.
