Biography |
||
Dr. Sandeep K Misra obtained his Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India while working with Central Drug Research Institute, India. Sandeep received competitive junior research fellowship and the senior research fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for his doctoral research work. His doctoral thesis was based on the understanding of protein folding and unfolding mechanisms and its implications in disease conditions. He carried out postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health, Maryland and Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, France before moving to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas. Currently, he is working on the projects related to the determination of the binding site of broadly neutralizing antibody and gp120 and its implication in gp120 vaccine development. He has authored numerous publications, two book chapters and reviewed a number of manuscripts for at least three different journals. |
