Biography

I am the Chief of Genitourinary Pathology at Northwell Health System, NY and Assistant Professor at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, NY; I am also the Director of Selective (Surgical) Pathology Fellowship, Northwell Health, NY and Associate Medical Director in the Department of Pathology at North Shore University Hospital, NY. I received my Medical Degree with Honors from Danylo Halytsky Lviv Medical University, Ukraine in 2001, followed by Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at North Shore-LIJ Health System-Hofstra School of Medicine, NY, and fellowships in Selective (Surgical) Pathology at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis MO and Genitourinary pathology Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. I am a board-certified pathologist in anatomic and clinical pathology with expertise in the surgical pathology of tumors of the genitourinary system.

 

Research Interest

Research interests include early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer with involvement in studies focused on identifying better ways to detect clinically significant prostate cancer and the use of ancillary methods of detecting limited prostate cancer. Additional research interests include the study of clinical behavior of renal carcinomas and use of novel markers in the diagnosis of prostate and urothelial carcinoma.
