Welcome to the Journal

The Reports in Cancer and Treatment  is a peer reviewed journal that publishes manuscripts on the recent findings in the field of carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, metastasis, cancer genomics and therapeutic approaches for the treatment of different types of cancer. Cancer represents the whole array of disease symptoms associated with abnormal cell growth and division with simultaneous reduction in the rate of apoptosis. The journal intends to publish novel findings on aetiology, pathophysiology, metastasis and treatment of cancer.

Some of the most prevalent cancer types are blood cancer or leukemia, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostrate cancer, colorectal cancer, brain tumor, cervical cancer, liver cancer, lymphoma, sarcoma, melanoma etc. The journal encompasses various aspects of oncology and cancer biology with special emphasis on research developments in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and gene therapy. Mutation in the oncogenes is one of the main causative agents of induction of cancer along with other carcinogens and oncogenic viruses. Manuscripts regarding modus operandi of carcinogens in activation of oncogenic pathways, potential therapeutic procedures and their clinical correlation are solicited.

The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of original research article, review article, short communication, case report, letter-to-the-Editor and Editorials for publication in an open access platform. All the articles published in the journal can be accessed online without any subscription charges and will receive the benefit of extensive worldwide visibility.

Processing of the articles will be done through the Editorial Manager System for hassle free operation by the authors and the publisher. It helps in maintaining the quality of the peer review process and provides easy access to the authors to track the process of manuscript evaluation and publication in an automated way.

All the submitted manuscripts undergo peer review done by the external subject matter experts under the aegis of the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Editorial committee member of the Cancer Biology and Therapeutic Oncology journal. Approval of at least two independent reviewers and the editor is mandatory for any manuscript to be considered for publication.

Reports in Cancer and treatment is participating in the Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process) with an additional prepayment of $99 apart from the regular article processing fee. Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process is a special service for the article that enables it to get a faster response in the pre-review stage from the handling editor as well as a review from the reviewer. An author can get a faster response of pre-review maximum in 3 days since submission, and a review process by the reviewer maximum in 5 days, followed by revision/publication in 2 days. If the article gets notified for revision by the handling editor, then it will take another 5 days for external review by the previous reviewer or alternative reviewer.

Acceptance of manuscripts is driven entirely by handling editorial team considerations and independent peer-review, ensuring the highest standards are maintained no matter the route to regular peer-reviewed publication or a fast editorial review process. The handling editor and the article contributor are responsible for adhering to scientific standards. The article FEE-Review process of $99 will not be refunded even if the article is rejected or withdrawn for publication.

The corresponding author or institution/organization is responsible for making the manuscript FEE-Review Process payment. The additional FEE-Review Process payment covers the fast review processing and quick editorial decisions, and regular article publication covers the preparation in various formats for online publication, securing full-text inclusion in a number of permanent archives like HTML, XML, and PDF, and feeding to different indexing agencies.
