The Reports in Cancer and Treatment is a peer reviewed journal that publishes manuscripts on the recent findings in the field of carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, metastasis, cancer genomics and therapeutic approaches for the treatment of different types of cancer. Cancer represents the whole array of disease symptoms associated with abnormal cell growth and division with simultaneous reduction in the rate of apoptosis. The journal intends to publish novel findings on aetiology, pathophysiology, metastasis and treatment of cancer.
Some of the most prevalent cancer types are blood cancer or leukemia, lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostrate cancer, colorectal cancer, brain tumor, cervical cancer, liver cancer, lymphoma, sarcoma, melanoma etc. The journal encompasses various aspects of oncology and cancer biology with special emphasis on research developments in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and gene therapy. Mutation in the oncogenes is one of the main causative agents of induction of cancer along with other carcinogens and oncogenic viruses. Manuscripts regarding modus operandi of carcinogens in activation of oncogenic pathways, potential therapeutic procedures and their clinical correlation are solicited.
The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of original research article, review article, short communication, case report, letter-to-the-Editor and Editorials for publication in an open access platform. All the articles published in the journal can be accessed online without any subscription charges and will receive the benefit of extensive worldwide visibility.
Processing of the articles will be done through the Editorial Manager System for hassle free operation by the authors and the publisher. It helps in maintaining the quality of the peer review process and provides easy access to the authors to track the process of manuscript evaluation and publication in an automated way.
All the submitted manuscripts undergo peer review done by the external subject matter experts under the aegis of the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Editorial committee member of the Cancer Biology and Therapeutic Oncology journal. Approval of at least two independent reviewers and the editor is mandatory for any manuscript to be considered for publication.
Submit and send manuscript as an e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at email@example.com
The study aims at clinical oncology and radiotherapy, as well as in radiotherapy physics, techniques and radiotherapy equipment. Case reports should include relevant positive and negative findings from history, examination and investigation, and can include clinical photographs, provided these are accompanied by written consent to publish from the patient(s). Case reports should include an up-to-date review of all previous cases in the field.

Anti-cancer drugs are also called anti-neoplastic agents or chemotherapeutic agents. They act upon rapidly dividing cancer cells and destroy them. They can be used alone (single-drug therapy) or several at once (combination therapy). Various kinds of anti-cancer drugs are alkylating agents (cisplatin, chlorambucil, procarbazine, carmustine etc.), antimetabolites (methotrexate, cytarabine, gemcitabine etc.), anti-microtubule agents (vinblastine, paclitaxel etc.), topoisomerase inhibitors (etoposide, doxorubicin etc.), cytotoxic agents (bleomycin, mitomycin etc.). They have severe adverse effects like hair loss, nausea and vomiting, anemia etc.

Alternative treatments can be used along with standard therapy to relieve symptoms and side effects of lung cancer. They include acupuncture, aromatherapy, massage, hypnosis, yoga etc. They mostly provide relief from pain, anxiety, nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy.

*2016 Journal Impact Factor was established by dividing the number of articles published in 2014 and 2015 with the number of times they are cited in 2016 based on Google search and the Scholar Citation Index database. If 'X' is the total number of articles published in 2014 and 2015, and 'Y' is the number of times these articles were cited in indexed journals during 2016 then, impact factor = Y/X
