 Hydrogeology is the department of geology that deals with the distribution and motion of groundwater inside the soil and rocks of the Earth's crust. The science of hydrogeology deals with a specific part of the hydrologic cycle frequently the phase that is underground. Hydrogeology is the department of the earth sciences dealing with the water waft thru aquifers and other shallow porous media. The very shallow glide of water in the subsurface is pertinent to the fields of soil science, agriculture, and civil engineering, as properly as to hydrogeology.
