Fine-Needle Biopsy (FNB) is a minimally invasive procedure widely used in clinical practice to obtain tissue samples from lymph nodes. It serves as a critical tool in the diagnostic evaluation of various medical conditions, particularly in suspected malignancies. Understanding the indications for fine-needle biopsy of lymph nodes is essential for accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
One of the most common reasons for performing FNB on lymph nodes is to evaluate suspected metastatic cancer.
