CUK-ZETA Multi-Input DC-DC Converter

Abstract

This paper proposes a double input dc-dc converter based on integration of CUK and Zeta converter suitable for telecom power supplies. In the proposed converter, the input dc voltage can be either bucked or boosted and also input dc sources can deliver power to the load individually or simultaneously. The combination results in an output voltage of negative polarity, but by introducing a diode, capacitor cross-bridge, the polarity is reversed to positive voltage at the output terminals. The converter is capable of providing both the step-up and step-down conversion at reasonable duty ratios. The converter is analyzed for steady state behaviour and presented in this paper.
