Monitoring and Controlling Terminal Nodes under Hierarchical Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

Abstract

Directional wireless communication facilitates mobile and broadband wireless connectivity. Hierarchical architectures are adopted with diverse communication technologies and node capabilities at different layers. HHWNs use a wireless backbone network consisting of a set of base stations or backbone nodes that use directional wireless communications. Two biology-inspired techniques are used for the Hierarchical Heterogeneous Wireless Networks (HHWNs) management. They are Flocking Algorithm (FA) and Particle Swarm Optimizer (PSO).Nonconvex mathematical model is initiated for HHWN control and optimization. Flocking Algorithm (FA) is tuned for selforganization and control of the backbone nodes in an HHWN. Local information from end users are used in the FA based model. Flocking Algorithm (FA) is used to deliver optimized dynamic network behaviour. Particle Swarm Optimizer (PSO) algorithm directly optimize the HHWN by collecting global information from the entire system The stability management process integrated with the system with dynamic update intervals. Mobility and resource level monitoring under backbone nodes are observed by the system. Channel assignment and connectivity are tuned for high mobility levels.
