Women play key roles in conflict resolution, peacemaking and their importance and impact often go unrecognized. Women like their male counterparts have suffered from the activities of the Boko haram insurgents, women, and women led-organizations have played key roles in generating adequate publicity for the atrocities of the Boko Haram insurgent and notably thus catalyzing national and international response. This study, therefore, investigated the response of women, women-led organizations at the national level to the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria. It proceeded from the qualitative research perspective and adopted the historical research design. Primary data were collected key informant interviews; and secondary data from videos and transcripts from past interviews, and documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis. Findings revealed that the national level responded to the Boko Haram insurgency through non-violent protests, social media campaigns, humanitarian assistance, interfaith prayers, psycho-social support, peacebuilding, and negotiations.
