Abstract

Pharmaceutical analysis is a critical branch of pharmaceutical sciences that ensures the quality, safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance of drugs and formulations. Through advanced analytical techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), mass spectrometry (MS), gas chromatography (GC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and spectrophotometry, pharmaceutical analysis facilitates the identification, quantification, and characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and impurities. This discipline plays a pivotal role in drug development, quality control, stability studies, and bioanalysis, supporting both research and industrial applications. Recent advances in analytical instrumentation, chemometrics, and regulatory standards have enhanced accuracy, sensitivity, and efficiency in pharmaceutical evaluation.
