Analysis and Design of Microcontroller based ZCS Quasi Resonant DC-DC Converter for Renewable Energy Systems
This paper deals with Zero Current Switching Quasi-Resonant DC-DC Converter (ZCS-QRC). Theoretical analysis and design methodology for a 30kHz fabricated prototype of full-wave, current-mode ZCS-QRC Buck-converter is described. The simulation results for quasi-resonant converter with analog and digital controllers are presented. PIC microcontroller based ZCS-QRC is chosen for fabricating laboratory prototype and an open loop study is carried out based on the output waveforms, by varying the duty ratio.
