Cifre J is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Biology, University of the Balearic Islands. She previously worked as an Agronomist for the Basque Country (1992). Masters in Environmental Management for the AN (1996). She awarded Doctor of Agronomist by the UPV in 1997. She is the advisory for companies from 1992 to present. Technical IBABSA (1997-2002). UIB Professor (2002-present). Associate Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Director of Studies of Agricultural Engineering of UIB (2005-2012). UNESCO specialty: analysis and design of experiments, crop production, genetic resources. Teaching GEAM, MBPCM and Master IA: Bases Agrarian Experimentation, Herbaceous Crops and forage, Data Analysis, Management and Project Management Agricultural. She participated in 10 projects of teaching innovation and over 25 Applied Research, 2 Management Doctoral Thesis, 2 Master Thesis and over 20 Final Projects Agricultural Engineering, More than 50 articles in scientific journals and about 100 papers in national and international Congresses.

Cifre J research interest include Fiber diameter, Fleece characteristics, Kemp, Medullation, Blanca Mallorquina sheep, biology, veterinary and genetics.
