She holds a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Alberta and a Master of Marine Management from Dalhousie University. In the past, She has been employed with both the private and public sectors. Notably, She had worked as a Research Associate for the Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR) where She wrote a policy paper on Canada’s national ocean acidification strategy, and as an Aquatic Science Biologist at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) where She continued my Master's thesis research on ballast water management in Canada. As a result of this work, my DFO co-authors and She recently had our manuscript published in the Journal of Marine Policy. Currently, She is working as a Research Assistant for Dalhousie University’s Department of Environmental Science. In the future, She hope to continue my work on science-policy in either the public or private sector.
