Biography :

Dr.N.D.Shrinithivihahshini is the Assistant Professor, in the Department of Environmental Management, Bharathidasan University Tiruchirappalli.Tamilnadu India. Career started in B.Sc., Agricultural Sciences, at AC&RI, Madurai and later on area of interest had been changed to Environmental Sciences. Completed M.Sc., and Ph D., in the above area, at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. During the period, won several recognition, awards and medals for outstanding performance in the study. Earned knowledge in Composting, particularly Agricultural and Orchard wastes, through Dr.P.P.Ramasamy, research guide and P.G.Dean Agriculture and pursued Doctoral programme, under the guidance of Dr.K.Ramasamy , who is specialized in handling Anaerobes and fermentation technologies. Exposed to various techniques of pollution control during the post graduation, at TNAU such as Phytoremediation, bio-decolurisation of pulp-plant effluent and textile-mill waste water, remediation of chromium affected soils, distillery-wastes, Sulfate reducers, and Methanogens. And won Gold Medal- Professor Rangaswamy Memorial Award-Best Thesis in M.Sc. and cleared NET in 2001.

Dr. Kaufui Vincent Wong is a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Miami (UM), Florida, where he has taught and researched since 1979. His primary research areas are in energy and the environment, fluid mechanics and nanotechnology. Dr. Wong has published over 200 refereed papers in journals and conferences. He authored 2 text-books on Thermodynamics, one on Intermediate Heat Transfer, and one on Climate Change. He holds two patents. He has received awards for teaching and mentoring students. He has served on the UM Graduate Council for 3 terms, and elected Faculty Senator for one. He is active in the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and have held many leadership positions, including Chair of the Advanced Energy Systems Division, and Deputy Group Leader of the Energy Group. He is the 2015 ASME Dixy Lee Ray Award recipient for the environment. Dr. Wong is a popular invited Keynote Speaker in international conferences and symposiums.

Biography :

Dr. Keith Leggett earned a PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry (Marine Chemistry) from University of Sydney, Australia in 1989. His postdoctoral experience includes Research Fellowship at the University of Zimbabwe, in Harare. He has worked as the Chief Ecologist and Project Manager for Raleigh International in Southern Africa for 3 years in Namibia and Zimbabwe. Later on he took a job as the Conservation Officer of the Kalahari Conservation Society in Botswana. In the following years of his career, he joined as a Senior Scientist and Project Manager of the Hoanib River Catchment Study (HRCS). He returned to Australia to take up the position of Director, University of New South Wales Arid Zone Research Station, Fowlers Gap, a position he is still holding.

Feng Li, Professor of Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visiting scholar of Stanford University, national registered environmental impact assessment engineer, ecology Ph. D supervised by Rusong Wang, a famous urban ecologist and ecological engineer, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). Prof. Li’s research focuses on urban ecology, urban ecosystem services, ecological planning, ecological engineering and ecological management. He made important achievements in evaluation, accounting, auditing and management methods for ecological land, compound ecological effects of impervious surface, ecological infrastructure engineering, evaluation and measuring approaches for urban ecosystem services, eco-environmental impact of urbanization and regulation measures. He is the vice secretary-general of the International Council on Ecopolis Development (IntEcopolis), vice director and secretary-general of urban ecology committee, Ecological Society of China (ESC), assistant director of Beijing Urban Ecosystem Research Station.

Dr.M.Prashanthi Devi is an Assistant Professor (SG) in the Department of Environmental Management, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. She graduated in Zoology/Botany from Avinashilingam Deemed University, Coimbatore in the year 1994. Later she joined Post Graduation in Environmental Sciences at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and obtained her degree in 2000. She did her M.Phil., in Environmental Sciences subsequently and joined Ph.D. where she undertook the task of using GIS and Remote Sensing tools for malaria mapping and was awarded her Ph.D. degree in 2006 for her thesis entitled GIS for Epidemic Malaria -Integration of Spatial Analysis and Modeling: A Case Study of Salem District, India. During her tenure of doctoral research, she worked in several DRDO sponsored research projects. Following the award of her Ph.D. degree, she joined DRDO-BU Center for Life Sciences as a Research fellow in Environmental Management Division as a task member to identify monitoring tools for malaria epidemic in North eastern regions of India using spatial techniques. She attended a series of short-term trainings and research workshops before being appointed as a Lecturer at Bharathidasan University in June 2008. She is now an Assistant Professor (SG) and presently heading the Spatial Modeling and Environmental Geosciences division.

Dr. B. D. Banerjee is designated as a Professor of Biochemistry in Department of Biochemistry, University College of Medical Sciences and G.T.B. Hospital since 2000. He also served as the Head, Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi in between 2009-2012. His academic credentials encompass B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc, M. Phil and Ph.D (Biochemistry) degree from prestigious Central University of India. Prior to joining Delhi University as an Associate Professor in the year 1992, he has served at National Centre for Disease Control, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as JRF, SRF, ARO, Research Scientist and Senior Research Officer between 1980 and 1987. He was an Assistant Professor at All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, Kolkata, from 1988 to 1992. To his outstanding academic exposure he possess more than two decades of research and teaching experience (MBBS, M.Sc., MD, PhD, DNB, MVPH, DPH, DMCW, DIH, Diploma in Dietetics etc.) in various capacities. He is a frequent visitor at several Universities in India, France, Singapore, Hungary, Germany, USA and Spain as an eminent and Visiting Faculty/Scientist during and also participated as invited speaker and chaired important sessions in various international conferences.

Since1979, he had been on the faculty of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in different capacities as Assistant Scientist, Honey bees (1979-1988); Associate Professor & Research Leader, Beekeeping (1988- 995); Professor, Environmental Biology / Apiculture. (till date); Head, Department of Zoology & Aquaculture(1997-2000) and Dean, College of Basic Sciences & Humanities (2001-2006). He has more than 35 years of distinguished record in teaching / research, and educational management and administration. During these years, he has made several significant research contributions in the discipline of Environmental Biology / Apiculture / Fish Pathology / Vermiculture. Dr. R. Mohanraj is an Asst. Professor in Dept. of Environmental management, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India. He holds Masters and PhD degree in Environmental sciences from Bharathiyar University Coimbatore. He had worked as a research fellow in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Division of Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (Autonomous center of MoEF), Coimbatore from Jan1997 to April 2004. He had been involved in a number of EIA projects as an investigator addressing EIA Components viz. Aerosol chemistry, Air, water, and soil pollution, Environmental Health, Socio-economics, Statistical Analysis. His research interest lies in Environmental Impact and Risk Assessment, Ecological Assessments, Urban Air Pollution, Aerosol Chemistry, Hazardous waste management, Corporate Environmental Management and other research themes related to global climate change. He had received Young Scientist Fellowship from Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) during 2004. During 2012, he was awarded commonwealth Academic fellowship and visited University of Birmingham, U.K. In 2013, he was awarded UGC Postdoctoral Fellowship (under Singh-Obama research initiative) to visit Pennsylvania State University, USA for year. Dr. Mohanraj had published 50 research articles in peer reviewed international and Indian journals. He had authored and edited two books of Springer publications. He had presented more than 50 research and review papers in international and national level seminars /symposia/conferences including COP meetings.
