C.K. Law (1976, B.Soc.Sc., HKU; 1981 M.S.W., HKU; 1986, M.B.A., CUHK; 1988, D.S.W., UCLA) is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, University of Hong Kong. His current researches are related to social welfare planning, urban renewal, digital inclusion, welfare reform, employment assistance programmes, social impact assessment and community building and planning. He served as chairperson/treasurer/member of the executive/management committees of several welfare agencies including HK Council of Social Service, Caritas-Hong Kong, HK Christian Service, Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association, Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, etc. He had also served as a member of Legislative Council of Hong Kong, in 1995-97 and 1998-2004. He is currently the Chairman of the Community Care Fund Task Force, member of the Commission on Poverty, Child Development Fund, Commission on Strategic Development, Lands and Development Advisory Committee of the HKSAR government.
