Dr. Rehan Khan is working as a Scientist at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, India. Currently his area of research is application of Cancer Biology, synthetic lethality & Cancer, nanochemoprevention of cancer. His main research interest is to develop novel drug targets for cancer treatment by exploiting chromosomal instability (CIN) genes. These CIN genes are cancer cell specific signatures and can be used for the selective killing of cancer cells. During his postdoctoral training, by using yeast/drosophila datasets, he was working on to develop synthetic lethal interactors of homologous recombination repair (HRR)-deficient cancer cells for synergistic killing of cancer cells only sparing normal cells. |
