Prof.S.Ganapaty served Andhra University as a Principal, AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences during 2010-13 and retired as the Rector of Andhra University in 2013. Obtained Sri J.J.Rao award for best Ph.D. thesis in 1987; received Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan best academician award in 2006; best researcher award in 2007 and pharmacy teacher of the year, a National award (APTI) in 2007. Supervised 40 Ph.D. theses, published more than 150 research papers in reputed National and International journals; having 2 patents to his credit.

Dr.Koppala Narayana Sunil Kumar, Senior Research Officer-Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at SDM Centre for Research in Ayurveda and Allied Sciences (AYUSH Centre of Excellence, and DSIR recognized SIROs) Udupi. Received Ph.D. in ‘Pharmacognosy and Chemistry – Interdisciplinary’ from The University of Madras, a public state University located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Taxonomy: Identification medicinal plants used in Indian systems of medicine in fresh and dried form;Pharmacognosy: Macro-, microscopic examination of raw drugs, quantitative microscopy, camera lucida drawing and photomicrography;Phytochemistry: Testing, extraction, isolation and characterization of phyto-constituents;Standardization: Derivation of Pharmacopoeial standards and preparation of monographs for medicinal materials;Quality control: Testing protocol for different dosage forms of Indian Systems of Medicine.

Dr. Nianping Feng is currently a full Professor and the Director of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He received his Ph. D from China Pharmaceutical University in June 1997 and joined Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in October 1998. From September 2012 to September 2013, Dr. Feng worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Purdue University. He serves Editorial board as well as Scientific Advisory Board for quite a few peer-reviewed journals, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.

His research interests are now broadly in the area of pharmaceutical sciences, including novel drug delivery systems for natural anticancer drugs, nanotechnologies for TCM drugs, and dosage forms and pharmacokinetics of Chinese herbal medicines.

My primary research interests focus on drug absorption, metabolism, and drug-drug interaction. In order to understand the ADME of drugs, I am using a variety of biological models including Caco-2 cell, intestinal perfusion, microsomes and S9 fractions that are enriched in metabolic enzymes and whole animals such as mice and rats to determine the ADME performances of active components in the natural products. I am also interested in the analysis of herbal medicines. I have been engaged in many different areas of herbal research ranging from screening to isolation, structure elucidation, partial and total synthesis of bioactive molecules and characterizing the criteria of herbal and herbal mixtures.

Dr. Farouk El-Sabban is a Professor of Nutrition and Physiology at the College of Life Sciences, Kuwait University, since September 2003. Dr. El-Sabban established the Department of Family Sciences (currently is known as Food Science and Nutrition) – the only entity that grants the B.Sc. degree in Food Science and in Nutrition in Kuwait. Prior to joining Kuwait University, he held the position of Senior Staff Scientist at the American Heart Association, Dallas, Texas, USA. Dr. El-Sabban earned his B.Sc. degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1963 and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in nutritional science at the Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1968 and 1970 - respectively. His experience in academia is vast and spans over many countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Kuwait. Dr. El-Sabban is a scientist who published many scientific articles, presented papers in conferences, a reviewer for many journals and has extensive professional affiliations. He is a seasoned educator who also has a vast experience in academic administration.

Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid is affiliated to Department of Biomedical Sciences , University Putra Malaysia, where Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid is currently working as Associate Professor. Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid made his mark in the scientific community with the contributions and widely recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community. Dr. Roslida Abd Hamid major research interest involves Pharmacology and Toxicology.

Dr. Sanu Augustine offer Naturopathic services, along with Traditional Indian Therapies such as Ayurveda, Kalari, and Yoga. He had more than 13 years of experience in different therapeutic fields in India and Canada. He renders service for people with issues such as arthritis, sprains, accident recovery, circulation problems, weight management, all stages of pregnancy and post-delivery, developmental issues, migraine, sinus, sleep disorders, stress and many more health problems.

In 2015, he received a Doctorate in Natural Medicine from the World Board of Natural Medicine (WBNM), Canada. Prior to this, in 2007, he achieved Master of Social Work (medical and psychiatric) from Mangalore University, India. In addition, in 2005, he completed BSc in Botany from MG University, India, and three years prior to that Diploma in Ayurveda and Yoga from Bharat Sevak Samaj, India. He also trained for more than 12 years in Kalaripayattu (Traditional Martial Arts in South India). At 17 years of age he became a Trainer of Kalari Martial Arts and had more than a hundred students whom he taught this ancient form of self-defence and Kalari Marma Treatments. After receiving diploma in Ayurveda, he worked for more than three years as an Ayurvedic Practitioner at DS Hospital in India and then work as a Yoga Trainer and Traditional Healer at Malandu Social Service Society.

Currently his practice is located at London, Ontario, Canada. There he is incorporating traditional Indian therapeutic skills, education and experience to assist people in achieving optimal health.

Gdula-Argasinska Joanna Ewa completed her BSc (environmental protection - environmental chemistry) in1993, MSc (environmental protection - environmental biology) in 1998 and also awarded Ph.D (biology, ecology and ecotoxicology) Jagiellonian University in 2003. Supervised 14 MSc students, 1 BSc student, Faculty of Pharmacy Jagiellonian University Medical College, Poland and also supervised 6 BSc students, Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences, Institute of Environmental Sciences, Jagiellonian University. Presently working as Assistant professor in Department of Radioligands, Faculty of Pharmacy, Jagiellonian University Medical College since, October 2011.

Dr. Rao received his PhD from one of the topnotch pharmacy schools in India, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kakatiya University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He taught human anatomy, physiology and pharmacology to BS pharmacy students for more than 3 years. Post PhD, he worked for Drug Discovery and Development giants, Lupin Research Park, Lupin Limited, and Advinus Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) division from 2006 to 2010. He began with the Dr. Bala Ambati lab in 2010, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, and continuing his research activities as Director, Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics, iVeena LLC, and as Research Associate at John A Moran Eye Center, University of Utah. Dr. Rao is playing a key role in design and development of a novel Bioerodible Dexamethasone Implants (BDI) to provide targeted (local) and sustained release of dexamethasone during the critical postoperative time period, thus eliminating the need for topical steroid drops after cataract surgery. Dr. Rao is the co-inventor on 2 patents and published several papers in international peer-reviewed journals and his work is cited in the biomedical literature by colleagues all over the world. Dr. Rao is a peer reviewer for more than ten international journals and serving in the editorial and advisory boards of several pharmaceutical and bio-medical journals.

Design and development of a novel Bioerodible Dexamethasone Implants (BDI)

Dr. P. G. Yeole, graduated from Mumbai university and accomplished a PG. degree and doctoral degree from the from Pune and Nagpur university respectively. His career span includes 29 years of being a principal to Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Wardha, Maharashtra till date and 32 years of teaching. Under his dynamic leadership, IPER now conducts Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Pharmaceuitical sciences and has also achieved an ISO 9001:2000 certification for IPER. The National Board of Accreditation of All India Council of Technical Education accredited B.Pharm. Programme conducted by IPER twice. Very recently IPER is accredited by NAAC with Grade “A”. Around 100 presentations in international and national conferences, chairing/co-chairing 20 scientific sessions, 54 publications, 18 research articles, 3 text books and 3 patents to his credit, all contribute to his unparalleled success. He has successfully guided 65 M. Pharm students and 14 doctoral students, 6 Ph.D students are working under his supervision.

Dr. Devdutt Chaturvedi obtained his Ph. D. degree in Medicinal Chemistry, from the Medicinal Chemistry Division of the Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR), Lucknow, India. Thereafter, He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2003-2005) at the University of Georgia, USA. Later on, he has also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2005-2006) at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Goettingen, Germany. He returned to India and worked shortly as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow (2006-2007) at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology (I. I. T.), Madras and as a Scientist (2007-2011) at the Bioorganic Chemistry Division, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR), Jammu and Natural Products Chemistry Division, North- East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR), Jorhat-785006, Assam. He has worked on several areas of organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry such as design and synthesis of novel classes of antidiabetic, antifertility, antitubercular, anti-inflammatory, hypolipedemic, anti-HIV/HBV, anti-cancer, antimalarial, antimicrobial, anti-alzheimer agents wherein he has investigated various kinds of structurally diverse synthetic/natural molecules such as steroids, terpenoids, nucleosides, structurally diverse heterocycles, carbamates and related compounds. He has published more than 70 research papers (containing more than 700 citations, with h-index = 20) in reputed international journals and filed 11 patents. He is the reviewer of several leading international journals of different publishers such as American Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Science Direct Journals, Theime journals, Japanese journals, Wiley Interscience journals, Bentham Science journals, Taylor & Francis journals, Hindawi Publishers journals, etc. His work has further been recognized from the various kinds of awards such as Most Cited Paper Award (2006-2009) for one of his Tetrahedron Letters publication, Young Scientist Award (2008-2009) from the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Highest Impact Factor Award (2009-2010) for publishing a review article in Chemical Society Reviews ( I. F. = 28.76) from the North-East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR), Jorhat, Assam, India and DST-Fast Track Young Scientist Award (2010) from the Govt. of India.
