Biography | ||
Hong Chen is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Prof. Jie Zheng’s lab in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Akron. She received her B.S degree from Polymer Engineering of Sichuan University in 2012 and M.S. degree from Materials Science of University of California, Los Angeles in 2013. Her current research focuses on polymeric biomaterials, antifouling materials, strong and tough hydrogels, and stimuli-responsive biomaterials. She has over 20 publications on high quality journals, such as Advanced Functional Materials, Macromolecules, Langmuir, Acta Biomaterialia, Biomacromolecules, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, including three invited reviews to summarize recent advance on double network hydrogels and antifouling materials.
