Biography

Biography : Dr. Rajeev received Ph.D. degree in experimental high energy physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He completed his thesis work on CP violation with the large amount of data collected by KEKB accelerator at KEK, Japan. He worked with Prof. Y.Sakai at KEK, Japan for two years during his Ph.D. degree. He is awarded with prestigious INFN foreign post-doctoral fellowship by Italy to work on LHCb experiment at CERN, Geneva Switzerland. He worked on charge track multiplicities and detector simulation at CERN for two years, before moving to Department of Physics, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. At P.A.U. Ludhiana, he is involved both in post-graduate and undergraduate teachings. His main area of research is CP violation with Belle detector and participating in hardware activities of Silicon Vertex Detector (SVD) for Belle-II experiment. He has authored more that 100 + publications in International Journals. He is awarded with major research project by the DST, New Delhi. He is elected national coordinator of Indian Association for Physics Teachers (IAPT) for regional chapter-2 which comprises of Punjab and J&K.

 

Research Interest

Experimental high energy physics/Nuclear Physics, Gas detectors, RPC dark current, HV state and DAQ system.
