Dr. Vinod Kumar obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Department of Zoology from Banaras Hindu University, India on Project- Investigations on Biomedical Applications of Carbon Nanotubes, Graphene and its Derivatives and his thesis entitled "Investigation on Biomedical applications of Carbon. Currently he is working as Postdoctoral fellow at INST, Mohali, Punjab, India, on Project: Fabrication of sensitive platform for electrochemical biosensing of cardiac biomarker8 months (Feb, 2013 to November 2013). He also has research experience on Fabrication of Graphene Field Effect Transistor for biosensing in research group of Prof. ChiuPowen and Prof. C. C. Chang jointly at Department of Electrical Engineering, & Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology, National Tsing Hua University,Taiwan. He is well versed with Immunological and molecular techniques like Western blotting, lymphocyte culture as well as in vitro cell culture, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, and other molecular biology techniques.

Dr. kumar's research work includes Fabrication of Graphene Field Effect Transistor for biosensing. He is also well versed with Immunological and molecular techniques like Western blotting, lymphocyte culture as well as in vitro cell culture, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, and other molecular biology techniques.
