“Antoine Al-Achi, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. In that capacity he teaches biostatistics and physical pharmacy in graduate school as well as in pharmacy professional program. Dr. Al-Achi received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1988. He has over 200 scholarly works including poster presentations, review articles, research publications, books chapters, and books. Dr. Al-Achi has authored and coauthored two textbooks, one was in the field of botanical medicine (An Introduction to Botanical Medicines: History, Science, Uses, and Dangers. Biography :

Jules Desmeules is a specialist in internal medicine as well as in clinical pharmacology and toxicology. He is the head of the Clinical Investigation Unit at the Clinical Research Center of the Geneva University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva University, whose purpose is to provide dedicated patient-care facilities and practical support to researchers carrying out clinical research, as well as a platform to support researchers in developing and conducting research projects to world-class good clinical practice standards.

As a clinical pharmacologist, he is also in charge of the Therapeutic Information and Pharmacovigilance Centre at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Geneva University Hospitals.

He his Professor at the Medical Faculty University of Geneva and at the School of Pharmacy University of Sciences Geneva & Lausanne His research is mostly concerned with the study of drug transportation and the enzymes involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics such as cytochromes P450 through in vitro (microsomes, cells) or in vivo models (phenotypisation, genotypisation, pharmacokinetic, toxicogenetic and pharmacogenetic studies).

His other main research topics center on the development of neurophysiological evaluation methods for testing the efficacy of peripheral and central analgesics (psychometric and neurophysiological-quantitative sensory testing evaluation), and screening dysfunctions in the transmission and modulation systems involved in chronic pain syndromes. He has successfully supervised three PhDs.

He regularly publishes in the top venues of pharmacology and toxicology journals, has more than 2000 citations and an h-index of 25. He has a large experience in project management and funding acquisition.

Professor Jules Desmeules is the director of the Master of Advanced Study (MAS) in Toxicology of the University of Geneva and affiliated to the Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT) and he is the director of a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Management of Clinical Trials since 2011 Faculty of medicine Geneva.

Bekesho Geleta, graduated in Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master’s Degree in Pharmacology. In 1998 he worked as PhD in Molecular Biology in the Laboratory of Professor Hoffmann (2011, Nobel Prize of Medicine) in the field of cationic antimicrobial peptides and pathogens - host relations. In 2002, he was nominated Full Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He also was the head of an Internal Medicine Department (of 62 beads) in the University hospital of Strasbourg, France. He was awarded the French Society of Haematology, price for research in the field of anaemia related to cobalamin or folate deficiencies in 2004. Achievements include development of research in: all type of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, particularly drug-induced neutropenia and agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia; haematopoietic growth factors; and cobalamin deficiencies. He also conducts several studies on inflammatory or immune disorders. His recent works also include research and development on human sounds analysis, electronic stethoscope, e-auscultation, and e-medicine. In that function he was recruited as advisor to several pharmaceutical and telemedicine companies and start-up companies.

Biography :

Dr. Suryakanta Swain was born on 8th June 1980 in Debendrapur, Balasore, and Odisha (INDIA). After completing his B. Pharm with 79.37% from Berhampur University, Odisha, India and join in to M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) by qualifying GATE and N.I.P.E.R. All India Entrance Examinations with C.G.P.A 8.89 from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India. He is awarded his Ph.D in Pharmacy from Berhampur University on 09.12.2013. He started his career as a Research Trainee Executive in Formulation R&D in Medley Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, Daman, India. He is working as Asst. Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics at Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, Odisha, India from 30.06.2008 to 02.01.2015 and he has promoted to Associate Professor-cum-HoD in Pharmaceutics, SIMS College of Pharmacy, SIMS Group of Institutions, Mangaladas Nagar, Vijayawada Road, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. So far he has published 40 research papers, 15 review papers & 9 invited editorial short articles of national & international journals with high indexing as well as impact factor with 355 citations (h-index=9 and i10-index=9). He has edited 1national book, published 5 international books & 13 national book chapters of reputed publishers. He has published one Indian Patent on 21st August-2015 with Application No. IP190/KOL/2014/CBR No.1525/Ref. No. E-2/326/2014-KOL. He has permanent Advisary & Editorial board members and reviewers in more than 30 national & international journals. Dr. Rasha Haggag is an associate professor at the Medical Oncology Department, Zagazig University, Egypt. Following her M.B.B.Ch in 1998 and M.Sc. in General Medicine in 2004 from Zagazig University, Dr. Haggag pursued her MD degree in Medical Oncology at NCI, Cairo University in 2010. Thereafter, Dr. Haggag joined the Medical Oncology Department at NCI and became an assistant professor in 2015 till now. Dr. Haggag is a member of various professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), European Arab School of Oncology (EASO), Breast gynecological cancer group (BCGC) and Egyptian hematology oncology group (EHOG). Dr. Haggag serves as an editor in Advances in Oncology Research and Treatments Journal, Journal of Unexplored Medical Data (JUMD) and Cancer Therapy & Oncology International Journal (CTOIJ).

Dr. Yusuf TUTAR is the Head of Biochemistry Division and the Head of Basic Sciences Department at Faculty of Pharmacy, Cumhuriyet University, Sivas Turkey. Dr. Tutar is also the Head of Biomedical Engineering Program at the same university. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Oregon State University and Texas Tech University respectively. He pursued his postdoctoral study at National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIDDK), USA. His research focuses on Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, and Molecular Biology with specialization in the fields of protein structure-function, protein folding, prion, microrna, pseudogenes, molecular cancer, proteomics, genomics, protein expression and characterization by spectroscopic and calorimetric methods.

Biography :

Dr. Akanksha Rathi is a young preventive health expert and vaccinologist with an experience of over 6 years in the preventive healthcare field. Her primary areas are teaching, research and healthcare service provision. She has done her graduation (MBBS) and master's degree (MD - Community Medicine) from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. She is currently working as an assistant professor in a recently set up government medical college where she is laying the foundation of the newly formed department. Before her assistant professorship, she was doing senior residency in Maulana Azad Medical College. She headed regional health centers and was responsible for preserving and promoting the health of the community. She has trained hundreds of interns and postgraduate students in vaccination. Till now, she has vaccinated thousands of children and adults. She had done her thesis on immunization and writes regularly about the importance of introducing various vaccines for adolescents and adults. In a widely circulated health magazine - Double Helical, she has written 2 articles on cervical cancer vaccine & Importance of Adult Vaccinations. She also has 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her most recent publication in 2016 is ‘HPV vaccine in Indian settings- need of the hour', published in Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination. Her current research interests include diabetes and vaccination and she is a part of various on-going projects. To name a few: Knowledge, attitude and practices of parents about recently introduced IPV vaccine, Prevalence and pattern of Complementary and Alternative Medicine use among diabetic population & Prevalence of Autonomic neuropathy among diabetic patients. When not at work, she likes to spend her time listening to music, reading books and travelling to new places.
