Jules Desmeules is a specialist in internal medicine as well as in clinical pharmacology and toxicology. He is the head of the Clinical Investigation Unit at the Clinical Research Center of the Geneva University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine of Geneva University, whose purpose is to provide dedicated patient-care facilities and practical support to researchers carrying out clinical research, as well as a platform to support researchers in developing and conducting research projects to world-class good clinical practice standards.

As a clinical pharmacologist, he is also in charge of the Therapeutic Information and Pharmacovigilance Centre at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Geneva University Hospitals.

His other main research topics center on the development of neurophysiological evaluation methods for testing the efficacy of peripheral and central analgesics (psychometric and neurophysiological-quantitative sensory testing evaluation), and screening dysfunctions in the transmission and modulation systems involved in chronic pain syndromes. He has successfully supervised three PhDs.

He regularly publishes in the top venues of pharmacology and toxicology journals, has more than 2000 citations and an h-index of 25. He has a large experience in project management and funding acquisition.

In 1996, Dr Andrès received his MD degree in Internal Medicine, at the University of Strasbourg, France. He worked as an associated professor in the University Hospital of Strasbourg, France. In 1998 he worked as PhD in Molecular Biology in the Laboratory of Professor Hoffmann (2011, Nobel Prize of Medicine) in the field of cationic antimicrobial peptides and pathogens - host relations. In 2002, he was nominated Full Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He also was the head of an Internal Medicine Department (of 62 beads) in the University hospital of Strasbourg, France. He was awarded the French Society of Haematology, price for research in the field of anaemia related to cobalamin or folate deficiencies in 2004. Achievements include development of research in: all type of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, particularly drug-induced neutropenia and agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia; haematopoietic growth factors; and cobalamin deficiencies. He also conducts several studies on inflammatory or immune disorders. His recent works also include research and development on human sounds analysis, electronic stethoscope, e-auscultation, and e-medicine. In that function he was recruited as advisor to several pharmaceutical and telemedicine companies and start-up companies.

Dr. Rajesh R Wakaskar has received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015. Currently, he is working as a Formulation Scientist at Insys Therapeutics. His current profile encompasses providing support in Pre-formulation and Formulation Development, Clinical supplies manufacture, API and Drug Product Stability and writing CMC sections of the IND and NDA that are submitted to the FDA for review and approval of pharmaceutical products. His graduate project involved the development of shell cross-linked polymeric micelles (nanocarriers) for the delivery of poorly water soluble anti-cancer agents such as Combretastatin A4 (CA4) to improve the existing solubility, efficacy, bioavailability of this drug, and subsequently, overall therapy of breast cancer. Based on his research, he has been awarded several honors in various podia and poster presentations at various conferences and is an author of high impact research articles in reputed journals. Souvik Banerjee is a Research Associate in the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, TN, USA. He is a member of American Chemical Society, division of Organic Chemistry. Additionally, he is the Secretary and News Letter Editor of Memphis Local Section of the American Chemical Society. Dr. Banerjee earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2013. Prior to joining Ph.D., Dr. Banerjee worked as a Scientist in the Biocon Biopharmaceuticals, a leading biotechnology company in India from 2005-2008. Following his Ph.D., He has undergone three years of post-doctoral training in Medicinal Chemistry at the UTHSC under the mentorship of Professors. Duane D. Miller and Gabor J. Tigyi. Upon completion of his postdoctoral training, he joined the College of Pharmacy at the UTHSC as a Research Associate in Medicinal Chemistry since February, 2017. His research in Organic as well as in Medicinal Chemistry has resulted in a number of internationally peer reviewed journals and a pending U.S. patent. Dr. Tella is currently a clinical and research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA studying about the natural history about rare and common bone disorders. Dr. Tella is a lead associate investigator and associate investigator on protocols that evaluate the treatment options for tumor-induced osteomalacia and that evaluate the natural history of bone and mineral metabolism disorders. Dr. Yusuf TUTAR is the Head of Biochemistry Division and the Head of Basic Sciences Department at Faculty of Pharmacy, Cumhuriyet University, Sivas Turkey. Dr. Tutar is also the Head of Biomedical Engineering Program at the same university. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Oregon State University and Texas Tech University respectively. He pursued his postdoctoral study at National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIDDK), USA. His research focuses on Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, and Molecular Biology with specialization in the fields of protein structure-function, protein folding, prion, microrna, pseudogenes, molecular cancer, proteomics, genomics, protein expression and characterization by spectroscopic and calorimetric methods.

Dr. Akanksha Rathi is a young preventive health expert and vaccinologist with an experience of over 6 years in the preventive healthcare field. Her primary areas are teaching, research and healthcare service provision. She has done her graduation (MBBS) and master's degree (MD - Community Medicine) from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. She is currently working as an assistant professor in a recently set up government medical college where she is laying the foundation of the newly formed department. Before her assistant professorship, she was doing senior residency in Maulana Azad Medical College. She headed regional health centers and was responsible for preserving and promoting the health of the community. She has trained hundreds of interns and postgraduate students in vaccination. Till now, she has vaccinated thousands of children and adults. She had done her thesis on immunization and writes regularly about the importance of introducing various vaccines for adolescents and adults. In a widely circulated health magazine - Double Helical, she has written 2 articles on cervical cancer vaccine & Importance of Adult Vaccinations. She also has 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her most recent publication in 2016 is ‘HPV vaccine in Indian settings- need of the hour', published in Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination. Her current research interests include diabetes and vaccination and she is a part of various on-going projects. To name a few: Knowledge, attitude and practices of parents about recently introduced IPV vaccine, Prevalence and pattern of Complementary and Alternative Medicine use among diabetic population & Prevalence of Autonomic neuropathy among diabetic patients. When not at work, she likes to spend her time listening to music, reading books and travelling to new places.

A series of new models, solutions and observations is drawn using the continuum theory and molecule dynamics method.

I have spent four years of my PhD in the field of Inorganic Materials and their applications. During my PhD I am mainly working in design and characterization of various mono-, di- and polynuclear metal complexes and exploited their vast applications. I have also published several research articles on the Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their various applications. I’ve developed a particular interest in the field of Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) on which I have published several research article. I would love to advance my understanding in the Inorganic Materials of the period further, through PhD study with an expert at a remarkable institution.
