Biography

He is a Professor for Agriculture and Food Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.  He served as a Professor for 7 years in IIT, Kharagpur.  As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in Dairy and Food Process Engineering and research. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Cryogenic freezing, transportation, and grinding, Cold storage of potato, Design of cold storage with the help of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Control atmosphere storage, Modified atmosphere storage, Thermal analysis of food using DSC TG, DMA, TG, and HPLC. He is a member of professional bodies like American Society of Agricultural and Bilogical Engineers (ASABE), Indian Association of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Indian Society of Cryogenic Engineers, Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (AFST). He is the Editorial Board Member of journals like Journal of Applied Sciences Research, (International), Food Processing Technology, The Standard International Journals (The SIJ). His area of expertise, as a Professor credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his/her authorship of many books.
