Her area of research lie in Functional Foods, Starch based edible and biodegradable film, Utilisation and isolation of bioactive component from food waste. She is a member of professional bodies like American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, Societies of Fisheries Technologists (India), Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). She has a patent on Whole Jamun (Syzigium Cumini ) Fruit Based Functional Confection and Process of Manufacture Thereof : Filed (Ref : 132/KOL /2015 ). She is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and her area of expertise, as an Associate Professor credits her with many publications in national and international journals. She is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through her authorship of many books.
