Daniel Lowy is currently working as Sr. Scientist at Flexel, LLC in college Park, MD, Washington D.C., USA.He has extensive experience in most topics related to electrochemistry, including electroorganic synthesis (electroreduction of activated olefins and of carbon dioxide), electroanalytical chemistry (ion-selective electrodes for surfactants and miniaturized reference electrodes to be used in corrosive aqueous solutions, or in aqueous-organic and organic media), microbial fuel cells, sea water batteries, nanotechnologies (including galvanic cells based on phospholipid vesicles and the quantized charging of gold nanoclusters), surface modification (with self-assembled monolayers and via layer-by-layer deposition), and galvanic cells operating with aqueous electrolytes. He has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 2 science books on nano-electrochemistry, and 10 chapters in edited electrochemistry textbooks. In addition, he co-authored 7 awarded patents (five Romanian and two U.S. patents).

Reyes is currently a Professor researcher of Institute of Biomedical Sciences at Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez in Ciudad Juárez, Chih. He received his undergraduate degree from Universidad de Guanajuato at León, Guanajuato and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Morelia, Michoacan. His research is at the intersection of materials and chemistry is focused on fundamental and applied studies in the processing and properties of complex material for energy, catalytic, environmental, and medical applications by chemical synthesis, Sol-Gel and electrospinning techniques. Current emphasis is on ceramics, composites, and porous materials. Biography :

José Francisco Sousa Bitencourt has graduation in Materials, Processes and Eletronic Components at Technology College of São Paulo (2005), master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Microeletronics (2008), and PhD in Sciences (2013) from the Polytechnic School of University of São Paulo, Brazil. Since the year of 2004, he has devoted his time to scientific research of luminescent properties of powdered covalent crystals, namenly feldspars, quartz and aluminum oxide. The latter was studied for applications in personal and environmental dosimetry when produced with several sets of parameters and concentration of doping elements. These materials were also obtained in the form of thin films using magnetron sputtering. Luminescent data was acquired using Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) and Thermoluminescence (TL). Xray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Eletronic Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Eletronic Microscopy (TEM) and ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma – Atomic Emission Spectroscopy) were also performed to analyse the physical properties of the materials produced in the duration of the project.

He trained at DRDO in material science technologies and further carried his work on magnetic fluids. He was appointed as a judge by ISNEE, India, acknowledging his research credentials.  He is winner of three national awards. Dr. MAGDI EL MESSIRY has done his BSc. and MSc. in textile engineering in Alexandria University with excellent first grade of honor. Egyptian government sent him to one of the famous textile institutes in Russia (Moscow Textile University) for obtaining his PhD degree in Design of Textile Machinery. On his return to Alexandria University in 1971, he was assigned as staff member and he got his professorship in 1981. He held position of the Vice Dean in period from 1994 to 1998. He worked as Head of Textile Department (2000-2002 and 2005-2011). He is considered as one of the main experts in the Textile Industry in Egypt. He was a member of the Directing Board of Spinning and Weaving Holding Company, the main Textile Company in Egypt. He is now a technical adviser to the Owner Board. Since 1998 till now he is a member of technical committee of the Egyptian Textile Consolidation Fund.
  Dr. Magdi participated in establishing several textile departments in Egypt and in Arab countries. He carried out several granted projects on international level with the colleagues from UK, France, Spain, USA, CZ, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. He is participating in scientific board in several journals. In the last 5 years he acted as an international expert in innovation and technology transfer.
 In 1999, Dr. El Messiry Also Received the Alexandria University Award for Scientific Achievement and in 2008 Awarded the Alexandria University Achievements.

Professor Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering in the department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he was the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Over a period of 40 years, Professor Agarwal has worked in various areas of Computational Science and Engineering - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computational Acoustics and Electromagnetics, Computational Materials Science and Manufacturing, and Multidisciplinary Design and Optimization. His primary focus in materials science and engineering is on computational modeling of acoustics and photonic meta-materials. He is the author and coauthor of over 500 publications. Dr. Van Chuyen Pham has received his Ph.D. in nanomaterials chemistry from Materials research center, the University of Freiburg in 2015. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral in the Laboratory for MEMs applications (Prof. Zengerle), the University of Freiburg. His current research interest is in the synthesis of heteroatom-doped graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as metal-free catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction in polymer electrolyte fuel cells, and molybdenum sulphide as hydrogen evolution catalyst for water electrolysis. He has experience in fabrication of porous thin film of graphene and CNT based nanomaterials, synthesis of graphene sheets by chemical vapour deposition (CVD) method, and chemical synthesis of graphene oxide (GO) from graphite and reduction of GO by thermal and chemical treatments, and also functionalization of rGO and CNTs. He successfully used functional graphene as electron transport and acceptor to enhance the energy conversion efficiency of inorganic-polymer hybrid solar cells. He has authored 10 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Yonghao Zhao has completed his PhD in 2001 from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He did postdoc. research at Max Planck Institute for Metal Research, Germany and Los Alamos National Lab. from 2001 to 2007. Then he did research as an assistant project scientist at University of California at Davis from 2007 to 2011. Biography :

Dr. Suwas Nikumb received Ph. D. in Laser Physics from Pune University, India in 1980. He is currently a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Council, in London, Ontario Canada. His research background is laser micromachining using short pulse, diode-pumped solid-state lasers and their applications to micro devices and products. He is leading projects on laser texturing materials, laser polishing, superhydrophobic & Super hydrophilic and other functional surfaces, micro fabricated devices, sensors design & fabrication and laser joining of materials. He has published over 236 papers, technical reports and book chapters, and is co-inventor on 12 US/Canadian patents. He has been collaborating with industries, universities, academic institutions nationally and internationally. His research has already resulted in the formation of two new companies, Capital Laser Inc. and Medtrode Inc. in Canada. Dr. Nikumb has received several NRC awards including NRC’s Outstanding Research Achievement award, NRC-NSC Eminent Researcher and the Federal Partners of Technology Transfer (FPTT) award. Since 1995 he is appointed as an Adjunct Research Professor at the Department of Mechanical & Materials engineering as well as a member of the graduate research committee of the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Biography :

Dr. Peng Li was awarded his Bachelor degree from Wuhan University of Technology (Hubei, China) in 2002, Master degree from Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden) in 2005, and Ph.D degree from Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia) in 2013. Having extensive industrial engagement with reowned organizations such as SP Technical Institute of Sweden (now named RISE Research Institute of Sweden), Tsinghua Science Park (Zhuhai), etc. throughout his research activities, his research interest focuses on functional nanomaterials, more specifically, synthetic nanoclay, polymers, clay-matrix nanocomposites, etc., with industrialization potential in in various disciplines.

Biography :

Dr. Sekar Mohan received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, from Kyungpook National University, South Korea. He was primarily involved in the interpolator implementation for machining NURBS surfaces in micro machine tools and studying the machining dynamics. Dr. Sekar currently focuses on tribological studies on Elastomers and Nano lubricants. He is also active in the development of solutions for green manufacturing technology and IIOT. Prior to his academic career Dr. Sekar has worked in industries manufacturing automobile components.

Biography :

Eshwaran received his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University, USA in 2015. His Master’s research focused on colorimetric plasmonic nanosensors for the detection of therapeutic levels of ionizing radiation. He has several publications in highly reputed journals such as ACS Nano and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. He is also a reviewer for many journals including International Journal of Innovative Research in Science Engineering and Technology, International journal of Pharmaceutics and Journal of Applied Pharmacy. Additionally, he is a member of the AIChE and IChemE, UK. At present, Eshwaran works at Insys Therapeutics Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company with a focus on providing therapeutic solutions to improve the lives of patients.
