He is a Professor and Head of the Department for Department of Public Health Dentistry, Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Hyderabad, India. He completed his BDS in 1993 from K.L.E’.S. Institute of Dental Sciences, Dharwar, Karnataka University, followed by MDS in Public Health Dentistry from K.L.E’.S. Institute of Dental Sciences, Dharwar, Karnataka University in the year of 1996. He served as an Assistant Professor for 4 years in Al-Ameen Dental College, Bijapur and as Reader and Associate Professor for 3 years.  As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Public Health Dentistry. He is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise, as a Professor credits him with many publications in national and international journals.
