Siemion Fajtlowicz has received his PhD from Wroclaw University after writing dissertation under direction of Professor Marczewski in Polish Academy of Sciences in 1965-67. Currently he is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Houston. He wrote the first computer program whose conjectures inspired papers by mathematicians, some as well-known as Paul Erdos. His program Graffiti made also chemical hypotheses, one of which proved to be correct, in spite of initial skeptical reaction of a fullerene expert. Fajtlowicz is an author of over fifty publications in fields of automated conjectures, graph theory, universal algebra, and mathematical chemistry. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications and The International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry.

Dr. Ichiro Torisu is currently an associate professor of mathematics at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health. He received Ph. D. in mathematics at Osaka University. The title of his doctoral thesis is “The determination of the pairs of two-bridge knots or links with Gordian distance one”, which concerns a central notion of low-dimensional topology. He studies 3-dimensional manifold topology, knot theory and  contact topology. He teaches geometry, topology, calculus, algebra, ordinary differential equations, statistics in classes. Furthermore in the future, he strongly hopes to combine mathematics with biology and computer science in various aspects.

Emanuel Guariglia is a PhD researcher of Mathematics, Physics and Applications in University of Salerno (Italy) and assistant Professor of Mathematics in the same University. He was graduated (2013) in Telecommunications Engineering (M.Eng., Master of Engineering, 5 years duration program). During his studies, he strongly improved his mathematical knowledge and, in order to achieve the main scopes of his master thesis, he specifically studied Fractals, Wavelets and Analytical Number Theory. From January 2014 to present, he started his PhD studies by investigating the previous mathematical topics, thus starting to set some new connections with prime numbers. His main skills and background were deeply rooted in Advanced Electromagnetics, where fractals and wavelets are often used as expedient tools of investigation. His studies were collected in his final B.S. and M.S. theses: the first one about Fractal Antennas, the second one about a Wavelet Approach in Electromagnetic Problems.

Hüseyin BOR was born in June 06, 1952, Erdemli / Mersin, Turkey. He completed his PhD, M.S and B.S from Ankara University. Orlando Gomes is professor of Economics at the Lisbon Accounting and Business School of the Lisbon Polytechnic Instutute (LABS-IPL) and a researcher at the Business Research Unit of the Lisbon University Institute (BRU-IUL). He has published more than one hundred scientific works, including articles in international scientific journals, books and book chapters, with research interests ranging from individual decision-making and behavioral economics to public policy evaluation, business cycles, international trade and economic growth. Sattar Mirzakuchaki received the BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 1989, and the MS and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, in 1991 and 1996, respectively. He has been a faculty member (associate professor) of the College of Electrical Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, since 1996. His current research interests include Cryptography, Steganography, and design of VLSI circuits. Dr. Mirzakuchaki is a member of IEEE and IET (formerly IEE) and a Chartered Engineer.

Dr. Xiaodi Li was born in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province, China, in 1982 and received the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from the Xiamen University in 2011. Dr Omar Kihel is a Professor at Brock University in the department of Mathematics and Statistics. He works in Number Theory and Algebra. Dr. Elio Chiodo, PhD, after his High School Diploma in Classical Studies, graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering (at the University of Naples, Italy), with a degree thesis in Reliability theory, then he was awarded a PhD Degree in "Computational Statistics and Applications" (at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Naples Federico II. Haroon M. Barakat is Professor of Mathematical Statistics at Zagazig University. He received the Ph.D. degree in 1986-Mathematical Statistics - Moscow State University. His research interests are in the areas of statistical ordered data and its applications, He has published research articles in reputed international journals of mathematical statistics. He is referee and editor of mathematical journals. In 1989 he was awarded the Egyptian State Prize in mathematics. He was awarded in 2000, the prize of National Egyptian Committee of Mathematics in pure mathematics. In 2007, he was awarded State Award for Excellence in basic science. In 2010 he was awarded Discretionary Zagazig University Prize and in 2012, he was awarded the International Fiza Al-Kharafi Prize in the field of mathematics.

Ignazio Licata, born 1958, is an Italian theoretical physicist, scientific director of the Institute for Scientific Methodology, Palermo, and professor at School of Advanced International Studies on Theoretical and non Linear Methodologies of Physics, Bari, Italy, and researcher in International Institute for Applicable Mathematics & Information Sciences (IIAMIS), B.M. Birla Science Centre, Adarsh Nagar, Hyderabad 500,India He worked on quantum field theory, interpretation of quantum mechanics, and recently quantum cosmology. His further topics of research include the foundation of quantum mechanics, Dissipative QFT, space-time at Planck scale, the group approach in quantum cosmology, systems theory, non-linear dynamics, as well as computation in physical systems (sub and super Turing systems). J. K. Sahoo is Assistant Professor and joined at the Department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus in 2009. He has authored or co-authored more than seven scientific publications, one book and editor of three journals. He completed his graduate studies with a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (India) in 2010 and his undergraduate studies at the Utkal University with a MSc and BSc in Mathematics in 2004 and 2002 respectively. Koh-hei Nitta has received his Ph.D. in polymer physics from Kyoto University (1988). He joined　the research center of Mitsubishi Chemical Co. (1988-1993) and he became an associate professor of Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (1993-2003). He has been a full professor in Polymer Physics, Institute of Science and Engineering, Kanazawa University, Japan since 2004. Liwei Zhang now is a professor in School of Mathematical Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, P. R. China. I graduated as a Bachelor in Chemistry (1984 – 1987) at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, UNESP with “Respiratory studies of Thiobacillus ferroxidans strains” as course conclusion work. In 1994 I started to work as a Scientific Researcher - level I - at Instituto Butantan, which produces vaccines for children and sera against snakes accidents. In the beginning I was integrated in the project “Factor VIII from porcine plasma purification” to establish a process to purify factor V|III in a high degree to make it possible to be used by hemophilic patients. In 1998 I spent 10 months in Japan at the National Institute of Bioscience and Human Technology participating in the Industrial Biotechnology Program, working in the synthesis of biodegradable polymers and its characterization. In 1999, after returning to Brazil, and continuing work at Butantan I started Master- PhD studies in the Universidade de São Paulo (1999 – 2003) whose research title was “Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) cultivation and polysaccharide purification” based on my Institutional Project related to vaccine development at Butantan. Later, in 2007, I have been to Germany for my Post- doc for one year, when I could start to study German and attended the International Management Course, besides my Scientific Project for post-doc at Helmholtz Zentrum für Infektionsforsuchung in the project “Up and downstream processes of Recombinant E.coli product attained in high cell densities”. Nowadays I still continue working at Butantan in the project for the development of vaccine production for human Health, whose the main topic is the scaling-up of production/purification of Hib polysaccharide, and its characterization to conjugate with tetanus toxoide in order to produce a Hib conjugated vaccine. The aim is to produce a pentavalent vaccine made up by DTP+HepB+Hib in liquid formulation and to be distributed worldwide. In parallel I am also working as supervisor/tutor for several students from Universidade de São Paulo to which I am linked through the Inter-units Post-graduation Program – ICP-IPT-Butantan.

Paola Berchialla is Assistant Professor in Biostatistics at the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences of the University of Torino. She received a BS in Mathematics from the University of Torino and a PhD degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Firenze. During her PhD she got a scholarship for the Department of Statistics at the Oxford University. Her expertise lies in statistical methodological development as well as general statistical applications. The methodological component of her research includes spatial statistical models, Bayesian networks and Bayesian design for clinical trials. Her interdisciplinary research includes collaborations with physicians, geneticists, psychologists and nutritionists, among others.

My general area of research focuses on Bayesian Design in Clinical Trials, Bayesian methods, Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques and their applications in Biostatistics and Quantitative Risk Assessment.

Paolo Rocchi received the degree in physics from the University of Rome in 1969, and was associated to the same Institute of Physics as an assistant. Next year he joined IBM as a docent and researcher. He has been involved in various fields of research pertaining to the areas of computing, information theory, reliability theory, theoretical biology, didactics of computer science. In addition, he has put forward innovative contributions to the foundations of the probability calculus, in particular he addresses the axiomatization and interpretation issues. Rocchi has written over one hundred twenty works including dozen volumes. Upon retirement in 2010 Rocchi has been recognized as an Emeritus Docent at IBM for his achievements in basic and applied research. Rocchi is also an Adjunct Professor at Luiss University of Rome. He is a member of various scientific societies and his production has been appreciated even beyond the scientific community. Mass media commented his achievements in successive stages.

Dr. Sunil Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, 801014, Jharkhand, India. Mahmoud Rawashdeh joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan) in 2009. Prior to coming to the Faculty of Science and Arts at (JUST), he was a tenured assistant professor at the University of Findlay (USA) (2006–2009). He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Yarmouk University (Jordan) in 1989. He received his M.A in Mathematics from City University of New York, New York, USA in June 1997 and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from The University of Toledo, Ohio, USA in May 2006. He was recognized for excellence in teaching in the ”Owens Exchange newsletter” of Owens Community College, September 2004. His research involves using numerical methods to obtain approximate and exact solutions to partial differential equations arising from nonlinear PDEs problems in engineering and Physics. Dr. Mauricio Contreras G. is an assistant Professor of Physics at the Adolfo Ibañez University in Santiago of Chile. He has an M.S. in Nuclear Physics (1992) and a Ph.D. in Physics (1996) from the University of Chile. He has worked in Nuclear Physics (scattering of nucleon-pair transfer in heavy ion reactions), Gravitation and Quantum Field Theory (the Hamiltonian formulation of the first order gravitational field) and lastly, his work is focused on Econophysics. Rebecca D. Wooten has worked teaching for the department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Florida for the past 22 years. She received her MA/BA in Mathematics and her PhD in Statistics from the University of South Florida.
